Yuri on Ice was such a life changing anime, especially to have experienced in real time waiting for those episodes to drop every week. It was an open acknowledgment and love letter to queerness, to valuing and creating art, to loving yourself and loving those around you and it’s no surprise that it had such a large impact on those who watched it. Not to mention how stunning it was to be presented with an open letter to queer love during a time where same sex marriage and gender equality was still a very hot and controversial topic. It’s, in its own way, nestled itself into history.

It may not be in the way we all expected or hoped, but see you next level.

it literally is not that deep and part of it is definitely just dan not wanting to post much on social media at all, but there's something oddly emotional for me about phil continuously being the one to "break the joint post streaks", while dan hasn't had a solo post since the wad merch went on sale online last year. yeah most of the joint posts are promo but still... for a guy who tried so hard to get away from the Dan And Phil branding for a few years, it really does feel significant that he seems perfectly content with having his entire online presence being linked to phil at the moment, both personally and professionally, and idk. idk. it just feels significant. three years ago this didn't seem even remotely possible.
